I'm a little late on this one. What I did with my CPP kit install. Just take the stops off. Won't hurt anything. Been using it that way for years. However one change I would make is, don't use the dry locks, replace with drilled cotterpin nuts. I had to make mine using grade 8 bolts. To my horror last year as I was inspecting the front end and greasing couple of the drylock nuts were about off.
