Its been a long time but it seems to me the lifters on that engine come out from the bottom.

George, are you saying that (with respect to high-pressure 235 car engines):
1. the hydraulic lifters only come out from/into the bottom (downwards)
2. the hydraulic lifters preferably come out from/into the bottom (downwards)
3. the hydraulic lifters cannot (or, should not) come out from the top (upwards)?
Are mechanical lifters handled differently compared to mechanical lifters?
