For those of you who read Vintage Truck magazine, you may have noticed my comments in the latest issue under the column "Hey Loren". I commented on a previous article about a 1957 International panel, outfitted for civil defense.It had under the hood an alternator, with a large selenium rectifier bridge. I was not aware that alternators were installed in trucks at such an early date so this was a really interesting piece of history for me. I have since read that the military had alternators earlier than the civilian car industry did so I am wondering if anyone has seen a pre-sixties Stovebolt with one of these early alternator setups.
