Though all of the shackles needed replacing, especially after removing the pins and seeing the condition on the inside, I am considering leaving these alone for now. But I cannot get it to accept grease, the grease bypasses around the fitting (maybe I need a better grease gun?). I have cleaned the inside of the pin out as much as I could, but I cannot clean out the hole in the pin that allows grease to move to the space between the sleeve and the pin. I am guessing that it is plugged up with old dried out grease. Does anyone know of a way to apply a cleaner (such as jet A) under pressure to force clean it?
