I am trying to replace the rear spring eye bolts and bushings (shackles are already done) and I have a question about removing the old pin. It looks like I will need to remove the step in order to either drive the pin inboard or to drive it out outboard. Has anyone done this and can tell me how they did it? Rereading the manual and I see that they say to drive out the lock bolt, and then use a slide hammer threaded into the lubrication fitting to remove the pin. And there is no way to do that without removing the step.

Thanks, Lee.
