Can you tell me why the hole is off center? Why not a bigger block, then center the hole? Just wondering.
The offset blocks align with their corresponding mounts. I just used square blocks however. Either way, doesn't matter unless you're going for a points restoration.
I got the same mounting blocks from JC for my 53 Suburban when I compared them with the orig. blocks there was quite a difference. The orig. blocks were only 1 5/8" in height while the new blocks were 2" ** Maybe the new one's were that way for necessary adjustments along the way of getting the body mounted back on the frame. Cut all of the new blocks down to match the orig. one's on mine.
I was wondering if the blocks they sell are actually pickup bed mounting blocks? I had the same experience, and thanks to your advice I also cut mine down to 1-5/8 inches.
