Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 168 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 168 | One thing I also considered (but haven't done enough research on to know how much fabrication is needed) is taking the AD body and dropping it on a TF (55-59) frame. The light duty TF frames are basically two straight rails that are 34" wide all the way through with no drop for the cab which is pretty similar to the AD frames except you don't have the tapered frame rails in the front which are what make a v8 swap such a tight fit. I'm guessing the big bolt frames are set up the same way just with larger channel. With 34" between the front frame rails (outside to outside, inside to inside would be less of course) you could put anything up there you wanted if you made the mounts for it.
