Be careful - different kits require the cable to be pushed or pulled.
When in place important that position 1 (hot) is completely open, and position 2 (cold) is restricted by a clamp or sleeve to give you some idea of where you are when starting the engine. The choke pull-off for a manual transmission (what you should open the choke to immediately the engine starts) is something like 5/32" from completely closed (from the service manual setting for "automatic choke vacuum break"), which is what I mark the cable to.
