Virtually every AD on s10 chassis runs wheel spacers. Mine had 2-inch spacers up front and 1-inch out back and drove many thousands of smooth, trouble-free miles. Good quality spacers/adapters are strong and reliable; if properly installed, there is absolutely no reason to avoid them.
