A Dana 44 was used mostly in 1/2 ton trucks.

Dana 60 (also 70?) were under the front of 1 tons. The old 1.5 ton is more or less as capable as newer 1 ton.

All depends what you’re trying to do and what you expect, but I’d look at larger components for the larger truck.
