Ken,If you're having pistons made and are going to custom made rods, get the longest ones . Talk to the piston guy, see how much you can safely move the piston pin up and get a rod to fit.As you know, the 292 has a short rod for its stroke and the rod angle at BDC is severe. Plus the piston pin is low on the piston.Of course, custom rods may be more than you want to spend on a street engine.I know there are aluminum rods available, but most guys don't recomend them for street use.
