I think you are both describing showing, in general, the same thing:

In general, that is the same as on low-pressure engines and high-pressure engines, except for full-flow oil-filtration on 58-63 261 engines.
On full-flow-filtration 261s, the oil flows from the large forward port in the block, into the top-left of the filter canister and then out top-righ of the filter canister towards the rear of the block. As I recall, the oil pressure fitting in the upper-rear fitting on the canister (I'll check tomorrow).
