Yes, possibly. The trick on a 700R4 is to install the "Corvette" overdrive clutch drum which has room for a couple of extra clutch plates and makes for a stronger OD section. 700's are also extremely sensitive to minor changes in the adjustment of the TV cable which controls shift points and throttle pressure. Be sure to install the vacuum switch and brake pedal switch that makes the torque converter lockup clutch work correctly.
