Hi all. I have decided to tackle the project of swapping out the old original vacuum wiper motor with a 12v electric wiper motor while I'm tackling this wiring project. I ordered a wiper motor (part number CX1366) from Classic Industries that has the original knob. However, after doing research and reading posts on here, it appears that it will not work with the choke cable in the stock position. Has anyone else been able to use this motor with the choke cable in the stock position? Is there another option with leaving the original choke cable in the stock position? This is on a 1949 Chevy 3100.
It looks like Jim Carter's website shows one that is modified for keeping the stock choke cable (part number WW149C). Anyone used this one? Does Jim Carter sell the stock looking wiper switch knob? I couldn't find it on his website.
