You can also pull the axle shaft and remove the whole hub/drum assembly. It's easier to deal with a stuck drum on the workbench than it is to fight with it on the vehicle. Once it's on the bench (or the floor), support the drum on a couple of pieces of 2X4 and smack the center of the hub with a big dead blow mallet. Inspect the bearings and replace the grease seal before reassembling the hub onto the rear end.
