Are you referring to play where the rocker arm rotates on the rocker-arm assembly shaft?
If yes, I'd want no play.
Note: the wear could be on the shaft and/or in the pivot-points on the rocker arms.
Replacement shafts are available.
Replacement arms are harder to find.
You might be lucky and find a shop that can "rebuild" the rocker arms.
