I made a living, fed my family, and paid for a hundred acres of Tennessee by making my tools and equipment get the job done- - - - -not sit there like museum pieces. We just have a very different idea of what's acceptable, and I'll wager I'm a lot more picky about the things that really count- - - -like getting fussy about half a thousandth on a rod bearing's oil clearance, etc. There's a difference in being practical about how something looks, and just being ridiculous!
