I've got the "Woodsy Owl" approach to equipment- - - - - -"WHOOOOOO- - - - - -CARES?" what it looks like, as long as it gets the job done? Of course, I once drove a Volkswagen beetle for 50K+ miles with flathead Ford V8 piston rings and Corvair wrist pins in it after J.C. Whitney refused to sell me a set of rings for my big-bore cylinder kit! 82 MM is 3 1/16" plus .040"- - - -which just happens to be a normal overbore for an 85 HP flathead V8. The bigger wrist pins were used to correct a little bit of a sloppy fit of the original pins in the big bore pistons.

Parts don't know, or care what they're used with, and getting the job done is far more important than having a personality trait that could be cured by a good dose of castor oil!
