Adding a small quantity of Diesel fuel seems to accomplish the same thing as the pricey gasoline stabilizers, and also acts as a rust inhibitor. No more than 5% by volume, however. 1 gallon of Diesel to 19 gallons of gas is a good rule of thumb for a 5% mix.
