I fit mine before I welded it. I ended up pulling the back further apart which caved the middle in. Haven't gotten to the point of dollying it all up. There is a little plate on the inside of the hood that is held on by four bolts. I took that off and welded up the space once the hood was the right distance apart. That holds the hood in the place it should be as you weld/straighten the rest.
