....I have a stang II under my 37 and its OK but wish I had the bigger GM rotors.....no problems in 20 years
....I have a 52 Panel with the original straight axle that drives just fine and I have driven it on several Looong trips.
I will admit I put power steering in the panel along with a V8 but as far as changing the axle?, nope, its just fine.
Just food for thoughts.
...along another line I am not sure who, maybe "tntrknut" (?) that used a 1978 Chevy front clip which, after taking the old axle out, rolled the donor with the independent suspension on the outside of his original chassis. IF, IF I remember correctly he added a 1/2" plate between the it and his chassis. The Chevy may be a 1/2 inch wider on each side but he tells me it drives and runs great and NO ONE has ever noticed or said anything.
**** does any of you remember this??? If I was doing one doggone it, I think it would be an easy, and less expensive, and quicker, to get where Charles wants to go.
Refresh my/our memory someone......Floyd, are you reading this??
