Beads are another one of those very very controversial topics. Internet is just full of comments and opinions with little or no scientific testing. No tire or vehicle manufacturer recommends or allows beads under any circumstances. If they really worked there would be independent blind testing with scientific repeatability. That testing or documentation does not exist. There are several magazine tests mainly on motorcycles....that concluded they caused no real harm but also did not balance the tire. The parlor trick wit the hose support axle is exactly that.....a parlor trick.
Want a real personal test....put beads in and take the tire to a reputable tire store with Hunter 9700 balancer ......the tire will never balance on the machine. Before I retired I had to resolved dozens ot challenging vehicle vibration issues many were tire related. Complex issues with radial force tire issue or harmonic issues in new tires and or vehicle suspension. $1000's some time $10's of $1000 were spent to resolve these issues and beads were never part of the solution. Before we arrived beads were tried in some cases. Some modern cars and trucks are very sensitive to tire balance issues.
The stovebolt is not a complex suspension and not overly sensitive to balance problems ....but still needs a dynamic balance as other have mentioned. Take your tire in and $40 later your done. Simple and done.........any tire store literally balances 100's of tires per day. If you want weights only on the inside .......a higher end balance machine can be set to accurately place weights on the inside and middle of the rim if needed.

Wow,, I almost don't know how to phrase a response,, so. by paragraph, Beads are without a doubt the best and longest lasting balance method for motorcycle tires, the elimination of cupping of the tires alone is worth the price of admission. What in the world is "the parlor trick wit the hose support axle)? Been to hundreds of motorcycle events and I have never seen anything with a hose selling beads.
2) Try to balance a tire with beads in it on a dynamic balancer? REALLY? with even a rudimentary understanding of the balancer you must realize that you would never reach a fast enough speed to push the beads to the outside of the tire. It would appear you have found the real "PARLOR TRICK " here.
Literally thousands of steer tires on trucks are mounted with beads inside every day, They do not do it just to spend an extra $50 on a pair of tires.
