You might be able to get a half-donkey balance job with stick-on weights on the inside of the wheel as close as possible past center, instead of on the outside of the rim where they belong, but it's usually a difficult, expensive compromise instead of doing it right. If I were running a shop and a customer was so vain he didn't want the balance job done right, I'd either send him down the road to hassle my competition, or do the job on a straight time and materials basis.
