This process of trying to fix a problem caused by a lummox has been frustrating. I was too eager to git-r-done and payed for the kit (special ordered) before running it by those who know. I have zero faith in the shift kit job which was done previously by the dufus and I have no idea where to find a stock valve body plate.
The kit which I ordered is not described as a neck snapping affair.
I will investigate further, the possibility of finding a stock plate and pay the restocking fee for the kit that I ordered.
I did however have a ball rebuilding this transmission. There is a lot going on in one of those babies.
