You might do a search on cleaning with a molasses solution. It looks like many parts could be frozen/seized and the molasses treatment is a bit slow but does work and is by far cheaper than other methods. Does no harm to pot metal or aluminum parts. You are in for a long term project so have your patience level at it's max. We use the washing soda bath with electrolysis which gives good results but does discolor non ferrous parts.
