Hi guys ,I'm restoring a 46 half-ton, with a 216 and a three speed. I noticed the clutch pedal hits the pedal support underneath when pushed. The clutch does disengage but even with the adjustment tightened all the way, it will hit. I measured how tall the pressure plate is and it is about one- half inch shallower than the original,of course this is a " correct replacement clutch ". The cab isn't on yet but the tranny, torque tube etc. is all installed and restored. Having no cab I can't guess the toe board angle to see what I need. I don't want to bend the throw-out bearing arm or grind the pedal box... yet , but I don't want to install the newly painted cab then have to remove the tranny, torque tube etc to change a clutch ( if the right one exists ), any thoughts?
