I'm not clear on what the pedal hits? I do know there are different thickness throw out bearings. That can change the position of the fork. Mine is a three speed and adjusts fine. When you get to the clutch and break return springs there is an extension wire required on one of the pedals to keep the spring from interfering with the other pedal. I have some photos and Harold46 often can help too.
