The instructions for your mounting on your 56 may be a little different. I used this kit and a Saginaw steering box (remanufactured) from the local parts house. Do some research and you will find several pitman arms can work from a junk yard rather than pay the high price! I once had a nice article showing the steps to do it for our years but the page is "no longer available". EDIT: I think the instructions that come with this kit show both for the AD and the TF series so you would be good to go.
