I have seen many "pie cut hoods." If I understand it correctly, you would take 1 1/2" of material out of the front of the hood and taper the cut back to 0" at the rear of the hood. To take 1 1/2" out of the whole length of the hood it would require modifications to the firewall and cowl so that they all meet up correctly. Does this make sense?
