Thanks for the replies, I think the 1 1/2" pie cut with the braces accross would be the best solution, how would you keep the back of the hood in perfect alinment with the firewall?
Once you start lowering the top have of the hood to the bottom I would think that the back would start bending forword and out of line with firewall.
