Battery cables can get corroded underneath the wire
insulation where the eye can not see it. This is why
a voltage drop test is needed. If you do not have a
good volt meter then physically take apart all the wire
connections and clean them as Jerry said.
If all contacts have been cleaned and still have a problem
and the starter motor spins good on the bench then go
with new battery cables. Jeffrey
