Let me offer an alternative process. Find a mid-1990's Dodge Dakota pickup and look at the the brake system- - - - -those trucks are almost clones of the 1950's Chevy trucks in size and weight, but they use a well-designed disc/drum brake system that's 3 decades newer. it's already been engineered and road tested. It works. Duplicating the system, or just scavenging the parts and adapting them to the GM platform will save you a lot of time and effort, and the results will be useful instead of being some engineer's pipe dream.
My brother has several advanced engineering degrees including a doctorate in plasma physics. He does a lot of consulting work for the automotive industry, including "computer modeling" parts. The part is designed on a computer, then run to failure by the same computer without ever being manufactured. His projections are almost 100% accurate.
He charges his time out at the rate of $1,000.00 a day.
