Posted this in "The Doors" but no response. Thought I'd give it a shot here.
Is it nessessary to remove and reuse the old flat metal clips from the old window channels and reuse them on the new ones. If so, how do you "crimp" them in place without destroying the new channel. I removed all the clips and they are all in good shape, just wondering if I need to bother, or if the inside window frame and the channel screws are enough to hold the new channel in place.
Or is it acceptable practice to put small panhead type sheet metal screws through the new channel into the window frame.
