Here is a great tip for cutting down on paint removal dust. I have a dust collector I use while doing woodworking. It’s a Sears ¾ hp single bag ( $100 +/-). I mounted a round magnet to the intake and can stick it onto my project Truck right where I am running the random/orbital sander. All of the paint dust shoots right in. No mess in the shop, no dust in the face, no GMC green when I blow my nose. Fairly quiet operation, most of the noise is from the sander. I works great! Just keep moving the intake as you go.

Staff, is this idea good enough for Tech Tips ?
