I would run the hose outside and mount the filter bag on the end of it outside to catch the dust. You can use a gate valve on it, they are available at well stocked woodworking stores. However, I am still of the opinion that this operation should not be done indoors at all, but -20 is pretty cold. At least don't do it if your shop attaches to your living space.
