| | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 Sir Searchalot | | Sir Searchalot Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,983 | Basic alternator mounting, as you know, is: sleeve and long bolt at the bottom, replacing an engine bolt or using a dedicated threaded hole. The "top" is a bar bracket with a curved slot for adjustment. The long bar reaches out from another donor/existing bolt location. Alternators have several user modifiable clocking positions to accommodate your design/motor. The standard Chevy Alt mount hardware can be modified somewhat to suit. If you want fancy, use turnbuckle rod end ball joints.
