I am adding power steering to my 56 chev 3100 and I am putting on a gear box from a later model pu. I removed all of this from a donor 350 engine and am trying to put it on my 350. The problem comes in with the altenator on there is not much room for the pump. The altenator is mounted on the drivers side same as pump was. Can I move the altenator to the other side with a different bracket? Any ideas would be welcome.
