Bent - auto color library is one of the links I gave above - it doesn't list 56 [none from 48-56], but does have 57
I doubt much that the 443 listed in
the 46-54 paint ID list for 51 [DUCO #28285638, DULUX#580 burgandy red] is what a 56 tag refers to, unless as I said, it was a special order - Bruce's reference shows it as a 2tone option, which says nothing about actual color
need to find some evidence of original color on the truck, and then track down a current color code that's close to the original, as no one seems to have modern formulas for the old Dupont paints [except maybe Bob Adler?] - I even had a paint man try to get some formula info from Dupont and other paint co's for the TF colors and they could not give an answer
