I was trying to assemble the Bendix hubs and drums like the original Huck brakes with the hub outside the drum. The Huck drum and hub are like an assembly with the studs holding them together. The Bendix hub goes on the spindle first and then the drum goes on. I installed the studs in the hub the the hub on the spindle then the drum, everything seems to line up and fit properly!
I do tend to over complicate things at times.
