It looks like you have a 1957 235 engine and an SM420 transmission with an open drive-shaft? 47-55 4-speed transmission floor cover floor shift sponge seal floor shift boot - it might not have been original equipment but it stops rattling noises. Tim 1954Advance-Design.com 1954 3106 Carryall Suburban 1954 3104 5-window pickup w/Hydra-Matic The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" -- this is a splash oiler.
