What rear end ratio, and what gross weight vehicle are we talking about? Big sixes aren't famous for good gas mileage. The 292 we ran in a 1-ton dump truck got about 10 MPG, loaded or empty. With the OD 5 speed, I'd guess you might get into the mid-teens, maybe 15 or a little more at best.
