The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop Is a tach required to break-in an engine?

So the OP says he rebuilt the engine to new specs.......lets say bored, new Pistons, rings, cam gear, crank ground all new bearing, complete valve job and reused the old cam............that is some how different than a new modern engine as far a break in.......???
