TIG is slow and harder to master, but the welds are softer than MIG welds, making them easier to planish and grind. The foot pedal allows you to control the heat to find that sweet spot for creating a perfect tiny dot weld which we look for. TIG doesn't splatter, making it difficult to set your shop on fire.
