| Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | So, you are going to use the AD box? Just cut the shaft above the box long enough for whatever U-joint, plus a little, you are going to use.
You will need to make a strong support for the front end of the new column, since it is no longer supported by the box.
