Rust is a big issue with the AD trucks, former fire trucks were usually housed so tend to be in better shape in that department. Do you have the room to store that size vehicle while you work on it? that can be an issue. resale, it costs as much or more to restore a big bolt as a pick up but they generally will not sell as high as a pick up so if you're thinking I can always sell it and get my money out that is not always true. That being said Big bolts are my favorites, good luck if you choose to go forward with the purchase.
