6v or 12v electrical system?
If 6v, the gauge of the battery cable/strap should be no smaller in diameter than 2 gauge.
1, 0, or 00 (2/0) gauge cable and ground strap are better
Do not use a di-electric grease at connectors - use a
conductive anti-oxidant grease such as these
