Good story and can't say any of my "TDY" to Hawaii was bad, and liberty if aboard ship (carrier) was always a pleasantry ;-)
After 13 Navy carriers and time with Marines (retired Navy & "Tech Rep") took a toll on family life. Can't say I hear from son or daughter, (their choice not mine). Finally working a desk as the grey beard grows in a job I like here in the South away from the cold North (except family visits).
Once I can collect more of my things (like photo albums & truck, etc.), I will scan and post more info to start an album on this ol' "Spruce Moose." I have some pix of some projects (just not complete with this truck - yet) on FB anyone interested.
