DJ,
Wow, I love the part about your daughter helping. We have a lot of father-son but only a few father-daughter stories. Hopefully, you'll be able to retrieve some of those pictures, too.
Know what it's like to leave your truck behind when change of duty. We were fortunate. When we left Ft. Harrison (Indiana) at DINFOS, the local police barracks wanted our '39 Chevy 1/2-ton. They had a display with an old cop car. They put a still in the back of our Chevy with the copy car tailing it. Was cute ... and was safe for the three years we had to *suffer* thru a tour in Hawaii!

(Left in December, too ... when the roads were frozen. It was great. We were all "wintered up" in clothes when we left Indiana, and dropped off all that stuff to Goodwill when we arrived at LAX.)
Will catch up with you.
Peg
