Have you tried to turn the engine over with the spark plugs removed? What does the oil look like? Black? New? Any water?
You don't want to get in a hurry to start the engine before you determine why the engine won't spin freely by the starter. Horrible, irreversible damage could result if one cylinder fires and the next one becomes locked up.
