It depends on your shop situation, too. I don't have a shop, so I can't blast before I put on my patch panels. I would have to shoot the whole cab with primer immediately after it came home, which would be a waste of time to me. If I leave it the way it is and put the patch panels on, I only have to spray the patch panel. When I'm finished with the panels I'll blast the whole thing.
With that said, Jake, if you have a shop, most definitely blast first.
